Meet the Board
Jamie Ayers, President
Jamie and her husband Dustin have been residents of Bucktown since 2008. After living in just about every other neighborhood in Chicago, they both agree that Bucktown is the best! Jamie has two children at Pulaski. Her daughter Sasha is in 5th grade, and her son Logan is in 3nd grade. Jamie is extremely excited to be a board member of FOP and to give back to the school which has provided a wonderful education and overall experience for both children. Jamie has a B.A from Washington University in St. Louis, and an M.A in Anthropology from the University of Chicago. She puts none of those degrees to use, and since 2003 has been in the business world as the Regional Manager of an architectural stone company, supplying commercial and residential projects all over the City and beyond. One fun fact is that Jamie and her Husband Dustin have worked together for over ten years. They are very proud to be a part of the Pulaski community!
Leanne Sardiga, Treasurer
Leanne and her husband Chris moved to Bucktown 6 years ago. They have enjoyed being part of the neighborhood every since, and are excited and proud to send their daughter to Pulaski. Both Leanne and Chris attended public schools while growing up and believe in the importance of a quality education, grounded in diversity and community involvement. Leanne graduated from University of Illinois with a degree in Accounting also also holds CPA and CFA designations. She is a partner at PwC, specializing in M&A, and the Innovation and Technology leader for their Deals practice. Their family can frequently be seen exploring the neighborhood parks and also enjoy raising vegetables in their background garden to Lauren’s summer farmstand and chocolate zucchini brownie business. Lauren would like to tell you that she likes Pulaski and her teacher is the best ever.
Bob Fox, Volunteer Co-Chair
Bob and his wife Natalie moved to Bucktown in 2010 with the intent of sending their children to Pulaski and immediately became involved with the FOP. Bob is a proud Chicago native. He has two boys who attend Pulaski. Bob has a BA from Johns Hopkins University where he studied Writing with a concentration in Film Studies. After graduation he returned to Chicago and worked in the Film and Video business for the next 20 plus years most recently as a producer in Advertising. Recently, however, Bob took on a new role of stay-at-home-dad. You can usually find him hanging out with his wife and kids somewhere in Bucktown, coaching soccer at Holstein Park, or riding his Harley. Bob is excited to be continuing on as the FOP Volunteer Co-Chair and working with other groups in the school
Luann Ray, Secretary
Luann has lived in the Bucktown neighborhood for over 15 years and absolutely loves it. She was super excited when she learned that her neighborhood school was Pulaski and her family could stay in the city! Luann and her husband Raj have a third grader and first grader at the school and are thrilled with both the academics and the focus on social-emotional intelligence in the curriculum. She studied economics in undergrad and received her MBA at Depaul University. She worked for many years with Raj in sales until changing careers and becoming a Licensed Acupuncturist. She is the Treasurer of the non-profit organization Evidence Based Acupuncture. She tries to spend as much time outdoors as possible with her kids and is one of those people who actually enjoys a Chicago winter
Scott Suckow, Projects and Procurement
Scott and his wife Melissa established their roots in Bucktown in 2005. He has three daughters, with the oldest now in her 9th year at Pulaski (8th grade), the middle in 4rd grade, and the youngest in 2nd. Scott also is on the Local School Counsel (LSC) and served as the FOP President for three years. He has a BS from the University of Illinois and an M.Eng. from M.I.T., both in Structural Engineering. Still looking for a little more student loan debt, he obtained an MBA from Babson College. To varying levels, he now applies those degrees to the restaurant industry, where he is president of a restaurant management company in the Chicago area.
